Pear cake – Birnen Kuchen

As winter rolled in, it brought with it some time to bake, photograph and write. The latter in particular. If you are following me for a while, especially on Instagram, you might have noticed that I was spending a lot of time in nature during the last weeks. Surrounded by the silence of mountains I got the feeling of freedom. During the last warm autumn days it feels much more important to me spending time outdoors than in my lovely kitchen trying out new recipes.

When you stopped being a student, winds of change are creeping up. They are telling you, that it´s time to move on and re-evaluate things. You might know that I started my first full-time job. Managing my new daily routine was not as easy as I imagined first – cold and dark season makes it even harder. For the past few months I was struggling with myself how to manage all of this. Especially, how to manage it the right way. I asked myself very often, if there even is a right way in general.

Before I was caught in a small whirling tornado of my own thoughts, I slowly got used to the fact that compromises are part of the game, which we call “life”. The plan for a little while now has been to wait and see how things get created by them self. The tricky thing is, it´s not always so easy. But rather than „punishing“ myself with doubting thoughts, I got over it – mostly. I have realized, that slow living is my key to success, which means that I am endeavoring to enjoy things I decided for much more.

When I started this blog I wanted a place to share delicious recipes and lovely designed photos. A place where I can write and be able to let my thoughts run free. Feeling home. I never wrote about very personal things! I never felt comfortable with it. I started being more personal on Instagram. Over the next few months I will try to do it here on my little baby as well. I want to improve myself by trying out something new!
